Benguela Entrepreneurs Encouraged to Seize Lobito Corridor and Refinery Opportunities

The provincial governor of Benguela has called on the business community in Benguela to fully leverage the economic prospects presented by the Corridor and Refinery located in Lobito.

Speaking at the inauguration of Aliança Empresarial’s new headquarters, Governor Luís Nunes underscored the importance of unity among business leaders.

Aliança Empresarial, currently comprising 17 members, welcomed four new members during the event, with a mission to bolster the province’s socioeconomic activities through collaborative efforts.

Among the newly incorporated members are prominent associations such as the Angola Industrial Association (AIA), Salt Producers and Transformers of Angola (APROSAL), and the Civil Construction and Construction Materials Industry (AICCMC), among others.

Governor Nunes urged entrepreneurs to capitalize on the opportunities provided by the government to foster economic growth in the province, particularly highlighting the operational Lobito Corridor and the forthcoming Refinery.

Meanwhile, Adérito Areias, president of the Benguela Business Alliance (AEB), commended the provincial government’s efforts in promoting a conducive business environment.

Areias emphasized the role of Governor Nunes in addressing the concerns of the business community and facilitating collaboration among stakeholders. The establishment of a central headquarters aims to foster unity among entrepreneurs and provide support for those facing challenges.

The initiative aligns with the collective goal of enhancing Benguela’s economy, with the business community poised to contribute significantly to the province’s development with the support of the government.
